Benjamin Sadavoy has been publishing and writing about cross-country skiing, and Nordic sports, along with all forms of cycling for over 30 years.
Jonathan Wiesel has loved winter since he could heave a snowball. He’s
been in the cross-country ski business for more decades than he cares
to count, first as an instructor, guide, ski patrolman and, ultimately, as
a resort co-owner (Royal Gorge in California). Since then, he’s been an
international ski-trip planner and leader, a contributing editor to print
and web publications, has produced a hot-selling book on winter desti-
nations, has been published in more than 120 magazines and newspa-
pers (plus much online) in North America, South America and Europe,
but has yet to win a Pulitzer. Co-founder of trails-planning firm Nordic
Group International (www.nordicgroupinternational.com), Wiesel lives
in Montana and still throws snowballs.
While serving four terms on Professional Ski Instructors of America’s National Nordic Team, including two terms as coach, McGee developed educational content, and organized and led training sessions across the U.S. and at international instructor gatherings. A former World Cup telemark competitor, he applies learning from competition and adventure to his teaching in cross-country, alpine and telemark. Author of Falcon Guides Basic Illustrated Cross-Country Skiing, he’s published over 60 articles on teaching and technique. He was recently granted a permit for cross-country instruction and guiding on the Blackrock Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and will host Corn Camps and Guide Courses this spring.
