Description

This book is a fun, educational tool for those who want to learn more about The South Shore of Massachusetts. The South Shore for this book consists of 10 communities that touch the Atlantic ocean and lie South of Boston. The communities are Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham, Hull, Scituate, Cohasset,  Marshfield, Kingston, Duxbury, Plymouth.

While a dedicated South Shore fan may know all about the nooks and crannies of their favorite destination, what is revealed here may pleasantly surprise any South Shore enthusiast.

It's an enjoyable read that has something for everyone, such as history, education, men and women who played a significant role in making the South Shore what it is today, celebrities, inventors, and politicians. It can be read cover to cover, or by jumping around.

There are also many photos that will surprise the reader.

There's plenty to not only give the reader a walk down memory lane, but also to plan for a trip to any of these unique communities.

This book will enrich, educate, and entertain the reader!

Henry M. Quinlan Melissa K. Bigelow
Author Bio

Melissa Bigelow is a resident of Mashpee, MA. She is a native Cape Codder, born at Cape Cod Hospital and raised in Yarmouth. She worked in banking and finance for twelve years, ten of which were spent at a local mutual savings bank and the last two at a national financial services firm. She is currently the owner of Seagull Treasure Chest, an online antique book store. The business, which she operates out of her home in Mashpee, is in memory of her late father, Tom Hague’s, brick and mortar antique store of the same name, which he operated during the 1970s in West Harwich.

Her life’s greatest accomplishment is her thirteen-year old daughter, Sophia, a frequent high honors student who plays soccer for the Monomoy Regional School District.

A lifelong writer, Melissa’s dream as a child was to become an author. This is her third book and the sixth in a series published by Henry M. Quinlan, the owner and publisher of Omni Publishing Company.

Co-author Henry Quinlan is also the author of the following books: So, You Think You Know The South Coast?, So, You Think You Know Cape Cod?  and Secret, Hidden and Forgotten Cape Cod.  He is also the publisher of Omni Publishing.
