A beautifully illustrated book written in haiku feaaturing animals of all shapes and sizes. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a haiku have 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables.
Nichole Vasquez-Sutter is Payómkawichum from the Pechanga Band of Indians. She grew up in the Inland Empire of Southern California and currently lives with her family on Wiyot and Yurok land in Northern California. She attended Humboldt State University and earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy while minoring in Native American Studies and Studio Art.
