Caitlin Bell
Author Bio

Author Katie Bell did not have to look far for inspiration for her debut children’s book, Hello, God, It’s Me! Based on a heartfelt prayer that her late mother would share with Katie and her sister each night when they were young, Katie and her husband have passed it down to their own child and hope this book will inspire other parents to do the same.

Ahead of her time, Katie’s mother used the prayer to create a special moment with her daughters, reflecting on the day together and expressing their gratitude, joy, and struggles each night. Katie’s book is a lighthearted and colorful version of this spoken prayer, illustrated by her mother’s dear friend.

Katie believes a great book is one that supplies parents with a simple tool to connect with their child every night in a meaningful way. She hopes her young readers come away from her book feeling safe to confide and be open about their life, and that this stays with them long after the book is closed.

Katie is a wife and a mother to a four-year-old son with whom she enjoys visiting parks, museums, and various activities throughout the Seattle area where they live with their seven-year-old yellow lab, Colby.
