Trail by Fire, A Photojournalist's Return to the Flames, revisits the authors 1975-1976 documentation of the Quincy , Massachusetts, Fire Department , offering a compelling look at five decades of change. He returned in 2024-2025 to write about what has changed fifty years later and this is the focus of the story . 

Robert H. Miller is an acclaimed photographer and photojournalist known for his powerful, evocative imagery and storytelling. Miller has published three books, including one with National Geographic. His work spans over seventy countries capturing diverse colutres, landscapes, and human experiences.
