Before Franziska finally fulfilled her dream of becoming an illustrator, she was involved in numerous circus projects, traveled the world, became the mother of two girls, and lived abroad. After completing her master's degree in illustration at Falmouth University in 2023, she became an award-winning illustrator. Franziska's ongoing search for a connection to nature has been the central theme of her work for several years. Small Wild Treasure is her first picture book. It began with a few illustrations of Tilda's journey, which were selected for the WIA in 2024.
