Rub 'O The Green

John Allen is a father, lawyer and golfer, who lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He started playing golf as a Caddie at age 11.  Ever since, it has been one of his passions.

For 40 years, John has been a Rules Official for the Michigan PGA, the Golf Association of Michigan, and the United States Golf Association, for whom he has officiated hundreds of tournaments, dozens of State Championships, and seven National Championships.  John also serves as an Honored Governor on the Board of Governors of the Golf Association of Michigan.  He is an Honorary Member of the Michigan Section- PGA, a rare privilege bestowed on only a few persons in that organization’s rich and long history.  He has also been named to the Kalamazoo Golf Hall of Fame.

But his greatest joys in golf come from playing with his children and family, and working with the youngest players, teaching the Rules of Golf to them and their coaches.

John hopes you enjoy his favorite stories.
