Diving for El Corazon

On his tenth birthday, Paco, a young cliff diver in Mexico, finds a legendary ring. The ring reveals the secrets of the sea as it enables him to breathe underwater. Paco makes friends, and encounters enemies, as he explores his magical underwater world. Conflict between his village life on land, and his love of the ocean comes to a head when tragedy strikes. Charlie Damitz’s love of the sea grew, when as a child, he spent summers at the Jersey shore. A veterinarian by trade, he has always had a deep love for animals. When his children were small, they would often say “Tell me a story,” and at his wife’s suggestion began writing them down. Other books by Charlie include The Giant Egg, and The Shot Not Heard Around the World. Charlie recently retired and moved to Sarasota with his wife of 50 years Susanne. He has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
